Mehrnoush Alia

The Iranian-American screenwriter and director is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Columbia University film school. She has written and directed two fiction shorts, Faranak and Scheherazade, as well as a web documentary and several promotional videos. She has also collaborated on several documentaries and has produced over a dozen short films. She is the co-founder of Maaa Art, a film and theatre production company working out of New York and Tehran and is an alumna of Berlinale Talents.
